Fest 8, Pheasant Run Resort and

Formerly known as Reenactor Fest, this event is an indoor
convention for all reenacting time periods, from the Roman Empire
through Vietnam. The event is open Friday, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm,
Saturday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Sunday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
UPDATE: 3 Pints Gone is scheduled
to perform Friday from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 5:00
pm until 5:45 pm.
The 3 day celebration features hundreds of quality vendor tables,
LIVE demonstrations of historical military & cultural activities
every day, interesting seminars and lectures on a myriad of topics,
a Reenactor's Ball, plus music, food and there is ALWAYS a party
going on after the sun goes down! Guests are encouraged to attend in
period dress! Discounted overnight stay rates for convention
attendees will be available on the web site.
This year the event has added full encampments, a military vehicle
rally and heavy weapons display, as well as authentic military
collectibles They have also added toy soldier / model dealers,
painting workshops and activities, more books, guest authors and a
few other surprises!

Can’t wait until May for the St. Louis Ren Faire to start?
Then get your Ren music fix 3 months early, when the Weitkamp
family hosts the Winter Madness House Party!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They will open their home at 6pm, and the music, provided by 3
Pints Gone, starts at 7pm.
Hawaiian shirts and kilts
recommended. Get there early and bring a snack or dessert to
share. There will be songs and surprises that we could never
get away with at faire. (They might even sing some pretty
songs.)
The band is passing the hat, so bring some cash to contribute
($10 each?). And there will be CD’s and T-shirts for sale.
