Mike McCauley loves to sing and has sung in choirs and barbershop quartets
all his life.
His skillful technique and his rich, full vocal bass sound really gave this music an authentic feel.
He was an excellent addition to this CD, "There Is A Ship."
Mike McCauley has known Bill and Kathleen for many years. They were first
introduced while he was performing at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival as
"Baltazar the Wizard." Oh, it was a joy when he approached the band, in
or around 1998, and innocently asked if he could sing along. Of course
anyone can sing along, but oh, does Mike have a gorgeous bass voice.
Kathleen's rather partial to his full, rich, deep bass voice, since most of the
men in her life are tenors. Kathleen says, "Standing next to him when he
hits one of those rumbling low notes, you can feel it all the way down to your
toes."
His floor-rattling bass vocals can be heard on many tacks
of the new CD "There Is A Ship" including the
title track.
